Welcome to 200 Books Before Graduation!

The Allen Park Public Library is offering middle and high schoolers, ages 11 to 19, the challenge to test their reading skills by tracking books read before high school graduation.

Here’s how it works:

Grab some books! Record the titles on the reading logs provided once you register. You can also rate each title with one to five stars next to each title.

All books are eligible to count towards your total! Log your hardcovers, paperbacks, audiobooks, graphic novels, e-books, library-owned or personal copies (magazines and individual comic book issues do not count). Titles can only be counted once, but feel free to re-read your favorites as often as you would like.

For every 25 books you read, stop at the Circulation Desk for a sticker to add to your reading log and our wall display. You’ll also get a FREE book that’s yours to keep! Once 200 books have been read, you will receive a bookish goody bag with a coupon for a free personal-sized pizza, courtesy of Papa Romano’s of Allen Park.

Other things to know:

This is a self-paced program and sign-up is available anytime at the Circulation Desk.

You may log titles concurrently if you are participating in other Library reading programs such as the Summer Reading Program.
